CONVENTION ON ACOMMONTRANSIT PROCEDURE THE REPUBLIC OF AUSTRIA, THE REPUBLIC OF FINLAND, THE REPUBLIC OF ICELAND, THE KINGDOM OF NORWAY, THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN, THE SWISS CONFEDERATION, here in after called the EFTA countries, THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY, here in after called the Community, CONSIDERING the Free Trade Agreements between the Community and each of the EFTA countries, CONSIDERING the Joint Declaration calling for the creationof a European economic space, adopted by Ministers of the EFTA countries and the Member States of the Community and the Commission of the European Communities in Luxembourg on 9 April 1984, especially with regard to simplification of border for malities and rules of origin, CONSIDERINGtheConventionon thesimplificationofformalities in trade ingoods, concludedbetweenthe EFTAcountriesand the Community, introducinga singleadministrativedocument foruse insuch trade, CONSIDERINGthattheuseofthissingledocumentwithintheframeworkofacommontransitprocedureforthe carriageofgoodsbetweentheCommunityandtheEFTAcountriesandbetweentheEFTAcountriesthemselves wouldleadtosimplification, CONSIDERINGthatthemostappropriatewayofachievingthisaimwouldbetoextendtothoseEFTAcountries whichdonotapplyitthetransitprocedurewhichcurrentlyappliestothecarriageofgoodswithintheCommunity, between theCommunityandAustriaandSwitzerland, andbetweenAustriaandSwitzerland, CONSIDERINGalso theNordictransitorderappliedbetweenFinland,NorwayandSweden, HAVEDECIDEDtoconclude thefollowingConvention: Article
